My Blog xperience for UK OK really helped my writing. I had to summarize a text so i had to look at the important parts of the text. I took articles that interested me that made it easier to summarize.

Can’t touch this? part 2

I agree with the teachers. I think you should be able to console a distressed pupil without being afraid of the concequenses. In the way we live our live today we are already distant from each other. A teacher is supposed to be a factor in the upbringing of a pupil, this means to me that we should be able to help the pupils in anyway possible.

I feel that something must be done about this, but what i have no idea. Teachers should not be the distant persons infront of a class, just worrying about the school curiculum.

Head Teacher David Thorley has been convicted of nine charges of sexual touching of pupils. This changed the way male teachers aproach Pupils. Male teachers are afraid to help pupils in distress because of the implications and their career.

The lines between what is appropriate and not appropriate is a thin line. Male Teachers are afraid that contact can be wrongly interperted .

Male teachers want to help children in distress, but think it is best to keep distance. "The most I would do these days is sit next to an upset child - that's it and I'd never ever allow myself to be in a classroom or anywhere else alone with a child." A New Bond part 2

I am a big fan of James Bond. I never really read the books only Casino Royale. Recently i collected all the books to read them. It was then when i found this article. I ordered the novel but have no time to read it yet. Curiousity overtook me when i read this article that is why i ordered this book.

I grew up with Bond and liked the movies and not always a big reader. The last years i have been reading more so this is the best time to start reading the James Bond Novels. In the Films the Books could never be used as story material so only characters were used. This makes the Books Unique.

A New Bond part 1

On the 27th of may the new James Bond Novel was released ‘The Devil May Care’ . This is the first novel to be officialy release under the James Bond Monicker. The writer Sebastian Faulks wrote the story in the Ian Flemming Fashion. The novel was lauched because of the Centenary of Ian Flemmings Birth.

It was lauched in a spectacular fashion, a speedboat carried model Tuuli Shipster (to be seen on the cover) and Seven copies of Devil May Care across the Thames.
The Details of the story were kept a closey-gaurded secret.

The Elements for a bond novel are all in there. A Love intrest called Poppy, A villain named Gormah (who Resembles Blofeld). Faulks was chosen by the Flemming family to write this novel. The last novel that was published Posthumously in 1966 was Octopussy and the Living Daylights.

Killing Movie Style Part 2

I think these people are mentaly Ill. What makes somebody kill someone else, espicialy this way. It has been a long discussion if movies make people act like this. Personally i think there has to be something wrong with people beforehand.

Movies do not make people kill, people make people kill. I hope these three people are going to be locked up for a very long time. I saw a lot of horror movies but it never made me kill someone who i did not like.

Killing Movie Style Part 1

Three people killed a teenager in the style of the movie Severance. In Great Yarmouth, Nortfolk they doused 17 year old Simon Everitt in petrol then tied him to a tree and then burned him alive.

The three people responcible are 40 year old Maria Chandler, 25 year old Jimi-Lee Stewart, and 20 year old Jonathan Clarke.

This was all because of a Love triangle between Clarke, Stewart ,Everitt and 19 year old Fiona Statham. Clarke, Chandler, and Stewart were concicted for the murder of Everitt.

Queen minus Paul Rogers Part 2

I think it is a shame that Paul left Queen. He was a great front man for Queen bringing his own talents to a great band. Paul was a big influence for Freddy Mercury when Paul was still the front man of the band Free in the 70ties.

Paul brought a Bluesy edge to the Queen repertoire. Queen fans had a hard time embracing Paul because Freddy was ´the singer` of Queen. But Paul did a great tribute to a great singer. Looking forward to new music by Rodgers. Queen will live on in Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Paul Rodgers leaves Queen. The super group Queen and Paul Rodgers released 2 live registrations and an studio album. What started as a one off performance at the UK Music hall of fame awards in 2004, ended up to be a successful partnership. After two world tours Rodgers wants to focus on Bad Company.

Bad Company is heading out for a 10 date summer tour of the US.
Queen has not toured since 1986 due to Freddy Mercury’s illness, that led to his death in 1991. Queen has been on hiatus then. With Paul they had an newborn success.

Big Music companies have influence over most major bands. This leading to an artist having less control over their own music. This leading to much legal issues with record companies. One of the first artists to stand up against the big company’s was Prince who changed his name to TAFKAP to release the albums he wanted to. George Michael followed him with a dispute against Sony.

Now artists can use internet to let their music be heard. I think the big company’s should be stopped from abusing artist just for the money. Music has to be art not a product. My thought is that artist have to use the internet for their career. Because the can distribute their own music this way.

Stick it to the man… Part 1

Dangermouse the man behind Gnarlz Barkley (better known for their song Crazy), will release a blank CD. The CD is meant for an album called Dark Night Of the Soul. Why release a blank CD? Well because of Legal Issues with EMI.

These issues caused the project to derail. Dangermouse still wants the world to hear his album, so he released the album as a free legal stream on the website of the US radio station NPR. The album will not be released by EMI so this way the album will be heard by the public.

Child Files Part 2

Having been in the world of social work, I was always interested in teenagers and the problems revolving around them. This article gives me an idea that this will work in Holland too because of the problems with Bureau Jeugdzorg. It shows me how far England is with this subject.

I think this will help social workers to better help the children. And better strategize the care for children so that a lot of social workers don’t mess up each other’s work. It gives them the advantage of being up to date on the problem Teens.

Child Files Part 1

A Controversial Database (Contact Point) had become available. England has a new database, it a filled with children. The system was a response of a report following the death of Victoria Climblie, she was abused by her great aunt and her boyfriends.
The system was delayed twice, first for security reasons. The second time it was delayed by the ministers. The System will applied to Authorities in the North West of England before being introduced in the rest of England.

The system is setup so children will slip through the net. The children that are in the database are in contact with other government service. This can save five million hours of professional time.

Manga Bible part 2

I personally think setting up Jesus as an action hero is not a way to get people to read the bible or take it seriously.

I am not a man who follows religion, but I think this is nothing more than a commercial stunt to sell more comics. I agree this form of bible appeals to a younger audience, but the question remains will the comic really get the children into Christianity, or will it just be a good story to read?

This is the first time I made a blog out of a video article. But I found the article so intriguing that I had to use it.

Christianity has found a new way to reach children. They use the power of Manga, author Bavin Akasiku thinks this will get teens interested in the bible. He took out all the “boring” pieces, this so it will appeal to the children.

This gives a totally new look on the bible, Bavin Hopes more teens will read this. Some Evangelical Christian group sees this as inappropriate because the stories are filled with action and this way the bible could be misinterpreted. Yolanda Szwedowska (RE Teac her at Twyford school) shares these concerns because. The students of Twyford School are enthusiastic about the manga bible because they find it better than the original.

The Big Switch part 2

I have watched the first and second episode, and I quite enjoyed it.

I liked the idea that a man is stuck in a woman’s body. I think it would be weird to be a man in a woman’s body. This series makes me think about the strange situations this would bring. This series is a 4 part that concludes on the 22nd of May. A combination of Drama and Humor is what you are getting.

Veronica turning her husband away, while finding out the comfort of a vibrator. A lot of new experiences for Danny in his struggle to find himself, in the form of Veronica in his body. How will this end?

Personal Opinion

I liked the character of Ali G because he was over the top. He was the only Cohan Character until now to make me laugh. I am very curious about the exploits of Bruno. Especially because I tried everything to avoid the movie that was made about Borat. The only time I saw it I was drunk. But I would never see the movie sober. I thought that movie was rude and disgusting especially the scene where 2 naked hairy men wrestle each other. I hope he does a better job with the new movie. I think this is going to be a Baron success.

Sacha Baron Cohan the man with many faces had done it again. He found a way to shock audiences with his new character Bruno, a fashion journalist from Austria. Baron is a shy type in real life but in his alter ego’s he pulls all stops. All his characters have the ability to shock the audience by their remarks. This made the Previews for Bruno’s movie a lot of publicity. Bruno tries to put homophobia to the table. Lots of publicity was already made for Bruno. In Fort Smith Arkansas for instance, there was a promise of one dollar beer and blue collar brawling. The spectators expected to see a good old fashion brawl but ended up with a cage fight that ended in the two contestants stripping down in underwear, kissing and rubbing each other.

Personal Reaction

In our UK OK Class last week we talked about the curriculum on English schools, in this lecture we found out that the Curriculum was lacking the basic social structure. It was mostly driven on results. No wonder the UK ended at a 24 spot. I hope the new plans for the School curriculum will make a difference.

I think a more social structure in school would be preferable. I think the world is lacking a social structure. It is more business that social, commercialism is a thing of the future, and everything revolves around it. I think commercialism will destroy our way of life. Our politicians are no longer running a country but a business. All they care about is the amounts of money running through the country. People should care more about other people and this has to start at school.

Also the pressure of schoolwork was included in to the measurement. Number 1 in the table was the Netherlands followed by Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Finland as a ranking top 5. Putting the UK on the 24th spot. The worst school is Malta on a 29th spot.

Personal Opinion

When I first read this article I was shocked. How can people plan a murder in cold blood, especially at that age? It is scary to think that all morals have gone. When I was 18 the thought never crossed my mind to kill someone, this is a sign that youths are becoming more violent and ruthless. A few years ago you could get beaten up (what is also just as worse, but you live), now a days they just stab you. This morning

I read in a Dutch paper a piece about the Dutch teenagers, this involving the threats made to bus drivers and even stabbing bus drivers and railway conductors. If this is where the youth is heading for, what will our world look like when they are the adults?

A gang of teenagers between the ages of 17 and 19 killed a boy (Shakilus Townsend). Townsend aged 15 was beaten by a baseball bat and stabbed. The attack took place last year but the trail takes place today. The gang lured him to a quite place with the help of a 17 year old girl. This was the girlfriend of Danny McLean one of the accused. Danny aged 18 is accused together with Tyrell Ellis (19), Andre Johnson Haynes (18) the accused deny the murder.
They found the accused via the cell phone of the girl, because she called McLean. This was a murder planned and executed by teenagers.

Personal Reaction

In the first part I summarized the story of 43 old David Bye who was caught and charged with child pornography and child abuse.

Personally I am glad that the police is keen on catching pedophiles because I think it is the most cowardly thing any man can do. Praying in little children is weak, because they cannot give any resistance. The children will be traumatized for years.

A few years ago I did a study on child pornography for a class in school. I did that with a group of fellow students. This study included child sex traffic in Thailand.

Also it covered pedophiles; we found out that it is a sexual preference just like being gay, so they are born with those feelings. This does not give them the right to traumatize young children and destroy their lives.

Bye is a calculated and cold hearted criminal as far as I am concerned and I am glad he got caught.

Summary Article

43 year old David Bye was arrested for rape and child pornography. He was caught after a thousand pictures of children were found on his computer. The children were aged 6 to 12, he took 202 pictures of 10 children himself. Some pictures showed him raping and assaulting a young girl.

He targeted single mothers, his first step was making friends with the mothers. This by being a sympathetic person and a listening to the difficult situations of the mothers, his daughter helped his disguise as a single parent. After he won the parent’s confidence he moved to the child. He befriended the children by giving them gifts like a new bike or a remote controlled car.

Eventually Bye was caught because of the pictures on his computer. His lawyer Ian Ibrahim stated that Bye left the pictures on his computer on purpose because he wanted to be stopped.

My blog xperience 1: The beginning

I blogged on hyves and on punt.nl, mostly personal blog when something was bothering me or just to get my opinion out there. On Hyves i am a regular visitor on a political hyve where people can react on how the political world is doing or how the rest of the world is doing. My biggest running topic was about the non smoking law.

I am very exited to start writing blogs for school.
